
Native to Brazil, this member of the Marantaceae family is called the Rattlesnake Plant for its striking patterns. Long and narrow, the leaves have ruffled edges that are unique to this species. They are bright green with alternating dark-green markings down each leaf with purple undersides. Of course, they also fold up at night like all prayer plants!
Light: Medium to bright, indirect light. Never direct sun.
Water: Water when the top 1" of soil feels dry, Calathea do not like to dry out. High humidity and regular watering will help this plant thrive.
