Native to Australia, it flowers best in a well-lit position. It is a butterfly-attracting plant in the garden and can easily be grown indoors, ideally in a south or west-facing window. Eventually, fragrant clusters of white star-shaped flowers marked with red will appear on the vine!

Hoya are easy to care for if given the proper conditions! Like all hoyas, these plants like to dry out well between watering. When the soil is dry and it's time to water, you should thoroughly soak the potting media. Water until all the soil is saturated and all excess water drains away through the drainage hole. ALWAYS plant Hoya in pots with drainage holes! You can water even less in the winter when growing slows (and sometimes halts).

Hoya like to be root-bound. You should not place them in a huge pot. When it is time to repot, go up only one pot size - meaning when it's time to repot this plant (currently in a 4" pot) only go up to a 6" pot. Hoya want a quick draining soil - use a light and airy potting mix, such as cactus and succulent soil, with added perlite or pumice for increased drainage.

General care requirements (research your specific conditions and adjust accordingly):

Light: Bright, indirect light, a bit of direct sun is usually fine.

Water: Allow soil to dry a bit between waterings. Allow it to get root-bound before going up one pot size.

Pets: NON-TOXIC!

*Color of leaves and blooms will depend on environmental conditions of each individual plant. Individual plants may vary based on stock available.
